Children’s Health Issues

Why do our patients come back? We help with Children’s Health Issues.

We are a family Chiropractic office that treats patients of all ages. Parents that experience the benefits of Chiropractic often return with their kids for help with children’s health issues. Today, more children than ever take medications that may have dangerous side effects. So a growing number of parents are seeking natural alternatives for the health problems their children face.

Our Chiropractors help with theses Children’s Health Issues:

Allergies: Many children experience allergies caused by pollution, dust, mold, pollen, grasses or spores. The allergic reaction to these airborne materials triggers itchy eyes, sneezing, wheezing, headaches and more.  For some children allergies can be severe and debilitating making their daily life miserable. Chiropractic treatments can help children with allergies because the nervous system and immune system are closely connected. Our Chiropractors help return the nervous system to normal health with spinal adjustments. This rehabilitates the child’s immune systems so their body can reduce allergy symptoms naturally.

Ear Infections: Does your child get frequent ear infections? According to the U.S. Department of Health, 11.8% of U.S. children under age 18 reported having ear infections in 2006”. Watching your kid suffer with painful ear aches repeatedly is difficult. Strengthening the immune system through Chiropractic care will help your child fight ear infections the natural way. Parents are becoming more cautious about the overuse of strong antibiotics due to possible health risks. Chiropractic treatments can reduce the need for antibiotic prescriptions by reducing the frequency and severity of a child’s ear infections.

Asthma: According to a CDC study in 2017, “6.2 million children under age 18 in the U.S. have asthma”. Unfortunately we expect to see more kids struggling with asthma in the future because this epidemic is getting worse. We perform Chiropractic procedures that realign the Thoracic spine area which restores normal nerve functions to the chest and lungs. This helps children get relief from symptoms such as shortness of breath and chest congestion. For some children, ongoing Chiropractic care can bring longer-term relief resulting in a better quality of life.

Bed Wetting: Finding a solution isn’t easy if your child has a bed wetting problem. Many parents get frustrated trying different medications and products because they only see minimal results. An increased number of parents are turning to Chiropractic care as a more natural and non-invasive approach to bed wetting. When vertebrae are misaligned it may cause miscommunication between the brain and bladder. When our Chiropractors realign vertebrae it can help your child regain bladder control which reduces bed wetting. It’s so rewarding when we see a child reduce their bed wetting incidents and watch their self-esteem improve as well.

ADHD: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is the most common mental disorder diagnoses for children. “3.5 million Children are prescribed medication for ADHD”, according to the National Survey of Children’s Health (2003-2011). The number of children being diagnosed with ADHD is increasing which is raising concerns about the health risks of medications like Ritalin. So now there is a growing interest in alternative treatments for ADHD such as Chiropractic and changing a child’s diet. It makes a lot of sense to include Chiropractic care for treatment because ADHD is known as a central nervous system disorder. Our Chiropractors help the nervous system heal itself and restores optimal functionality.
